A sure-fire way to increase your Facebook video engagement rates is by creating and adding polls.

Polls can be used organically as well as in video ad campaigns that appear on Facebook’s mobile News Feed.

In this video, Cat Howell shares her step by step method to creating and adding polls to Facebook videos.

Cat Howell is a renowned Facebook Marketing Expert who, since 2017, has driven $15 – $17M in revenue through her founded businesses, Eight Loop Social and Digital Distillery.

The 5 steps as seen in the video:

Step 1:

Upload a video to your Facebook page

Step 2:

In the ‘Edit Video’ pop-up that appears, click on the ‘Polls’ section on the right hand side.

Step 3:

Click ‘Create Poll’

Step 4:

Ask a question. Facebook suggests the following best practices:

  • Make it debatable
  • Keep polls short
  • Make it fit the content flow
  • Pose the question in a positive way
  • Make polls meaningful

Step 5:

Select your preferred poll settings. Choose when, where and for how long the poll will appear.

You can also choose whether you’d like the poll results to appear immediately, scheduled or never.
